The Communication Student Association (CSA) represents over 1,000 undergraduate students enrolled in the Department of Communication at the University of Ottawa. Through its legendary social events and sophisticated academic endeavours, the CSA strives to offer its students an enriched university experience.

As the time spent outside the classroom is often just as important as time spent studying, the CSA hosts such events as Slurvivor, Evening with the Masters, 101 Week, Sex and the City night, various trips, speakers and much, much more.

The CSA also represents undergraduate student interests on a number of important decision-making bodies around the university. Since communication students are among the best and the brightest at the University of Ottawa, the CSA provides well-rounded academic events and initiatives to complement this.

The Executive is elected annually to steer the association on behalf of its members. Each member of the Executive has a different portfolio that they are responsible for, and he or she must volunteer in that role for one full year. Running for the executive is one of many ways to get involved with the CSA or in the field of communication. Since the student experience is more than just what is in the textbook, the CSA has a number of resources that students can explore to improve their skills as communicators.
