Francais Contact Resources Events Academics About News

Your university experience is whatever you make of it. Instead of simply going to class and going home, there are a number of ways that you can get involved in our community. With those opportunities come friends, memories and the chance to truly make a contribution. The CSA encourages all communication students to get involved on campus - you will not regret it!

COMMITTEES

The CSA currently has two committees: the Events Committee (under the VP Socials) and the Promotion Committee (under the VP Infos).

The Events Committee is responsible for assisting in the planning of our social and academic events all year, as well as carrying out all logistics. The Promotions Committee is responsible for class presentation, putting up posters, and everything that helps students learn about what the CSA is up to.

VOLUNTEERING

Throughout the academic year, as well as during the summer, the CSA needs passionate volunteers to assist with its philanthropic and large-scale initatives. From Shinerama and Relay for Life, to 101 Week and other events, volunteering is the lifeblood of the CSA. There is no shortage of ways to get involved, so please do not hesitate to inquire!

ELECTIONS

Running for a position on the CSA Executive is a great way to get involved on campus, and an opportunity to make a difference in your community. Elections run in March of each year, which normally consists of nomination, campaigning and voting periods.

The outgoing President (unless he or she is running for re-election) is the Chief Electoral Officer of the CSA and is responsible for this process. For more information about each of the positions available, the constitution is a great starting point.
