VP Finance - July 2008
The Executive Council has recently received and accepted the resignation of Virginie Corneau St-Hilaire from the position of VP Finance. We thank Viriginie for her work in this position and wish her the very best in her future endeavours.

The CSA Executive will share the responsibilities of the portfolio for the remainder of the summer. The position will be filled via appointment in the fall semester in accordance with Association's by-laws. Any questions can be addressed to Ryan Kennery, President.

If you loved 101 week and want to help greet new students in September, why not apply to be a 101 Guide for the CSA? Fill out the application form on the CSA’s website, and drop it by the CSA office (0015 MRT), or send it by email to vp.social@aeec-csa.ca. Deadline is Friday, April 18th @ 5:30pm.

    Evening with the Masters - February 25, 2008
    Close to graduation? Looking to make some contacts? Interested to getting answers to your career-related questions?

    Well we have an event for you! The CSA is proud to announce its annual Evening with the Masters event on March 10.

    This is a revamped version of our successful initiative that will feature roundtable discussions with professionals where you have a chance to hear, first-hand, exactly what different communications careers have to offer. We will have professionals from backgrounds such as government, marketing, public relations, not for profit communications and many more.

    The registration form is available now and must be completed before March 7 at 5:00 PM.

    The event is on campus and at $5 is an inexpensive way to get some valuable insight on your career goals. Sign up today!

    JOIN THE TEAM - Sept 17, 2007
    The CSA has begun the recruitment process our First Year Rep (one position), the Promotion Committee (three Anglophone, three Francophone), the Events Committee (three Francophone, three Anglophone) and a Vice-President, Information (Francophone - one). We encourage everyone to apply to join the team!

    Your application package must include:

    - A short description about why you want to join
    - A creative entry

    The First Year Rep and VP Information (Francophone) must be able to volunteer three hours per week to complete CSA office hours and attend meetings of the Executive Council.

    Members of the Promotions Committee will be responsible for conducting class presentations and helping promote CSA events and initiatives. Members of the Events Committee will assist with event planning and logistics.

    Applications must be dropped off at the CSA office (MRT 0015) before noon on October 5. The best applicants will be brought in for an interview shortly thereafter. If you have any questions, you can contact our VP Finance, Virginie Corneau.

    COMMIES TAKE FLIGHT - July 31, 2007
    The CSA has officially announced its theme for this year's 101 Week: TOP GUN! Our VP Socials are working hard on preparing a number of flight-oriented events to welcome the new communication students in September.     WEBSITE RELAUNCHED - July 30, 2007
    With a new domain name and a snazzy new look, the CSA officially re-launched its website today. The design is easy to navigate, and the site itself offers a wide array of information for communication students.
