ABOUT

The Communication Student's Association (CSA) is one of two Recognized Student Governments (RSG) in the Faculty of Arts program at the University of Ottawa. As such, we proudly represent over 1300 full-time and part-time undergraduate students enrolled in the Department of Communication. Our events are tailored specially for those studying in Communication, Public Relations and Digital Journalism.

Within our department, our executive team works year-round to organize social, academic, philanthropic, and professional events to help our students better adapt to university and post-grad life. From your first year to your graduation, the CSA accompanies your student experience to help you build your best university career.

At the campus-level, we advocate for student issues in departmental and faculty meetings and we work to strengthen the communication and bond in the faculty-student relationship. The CSA also collaborates regularly with other RSGs across campus to connect Communications with other students from different programs at UofO.

The CSA has always been known for its special 'Commie' spirit; a bond uniquely found within our high-energy and diverse student community!

The constitution outlines the bylaws and principles by which all aspects of the CSA operate. It is updated and approved every year by CSA members during our Annual General Meeting.
