Land Acknowledgment
The Communications Students’ Association of the University of Ottawa would like to acknowledge that we are gathered on the unceded, traditional territory of the Algonquin Anishinabe people. The Algonquin people have lived on, cared for, and maintained relationships with these lands and waters. We recognize that we are guests on this territory, and we honour the knowledge, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous peoples who have shaped and continue to shape this community.
As students of communication, we recognize the importance of listening to and learning from the voices and experiences of Indigenous peoples. We acknowledge the responsibility we have to use our own voices thoughtfully, to learn about the history of this land, and to contribute to meaningful reconciliation.
